Benefits of using the VanishProp for retractable pods:

  • High efficiency in a broader speed range than for smaller ducted pods
  • The needed space for the retracted pod inside the vessel body is reduced extensively
  • Expanded blade diameter is 233% of the retracted diameter
  • Propeller blades can be replaced underwater by a diver
  • Can work in combination with other VanishProps or other propeller as a counter rotating system
  • Fouling on the propeller blades is no longer a problem. The blades either rotate or live their lives in complete darkness
